I had an opportunity to have a meal cooked by Ornella on a recent trip to Florence. I was astonished at the several courses she served, and how she was able let me explore several Tuscan favorites. Among the courses that really stood out were the fresh salami, mozzarella, and cheese appetizers, one of which was lightly coated with her own made in the home savory jam. She offered homemade italian bread that I would have gladly eaten for my whole meal. A fresh pasta was offered next, which again was flavored with the best herbs in a light Tuscan sauce. At the end of the meal we all shared an outstanding cream/vanilla gelato, which was unbelieveable. If you are looking for a real experience of how people in Tuscany really eat, then Ornella's cuisine is a must.
