Tuscan cuisine has a strong familiar and country flavour. Here I wish to let you taste some of the very traditional dishes, the ones eaten in Chiati by the countrymen. Strong and decise flavours everything seasoned with an excellent oil of olive and a bottle of Chianti wine.
Crostini with chicken liver and crostini with small cubes of fresh tomatoes
Dish of local salami: finocchiona, Tuscan ham, soft cheese with fried coccolis
Potatoes filled raviolis with butter and sage
Arista (pork) with spinach and roasted potatoes
Cantuccini with Vin Santo ( almond biscuits to be poached into a glass of sweet local wine)
You can easily reach the place , by bus form the downtown. Bus stop at the railway station or near Duomo. 5 minutes from the airport - about 9 euros. From the center with no traffic jam takes 10 minutes and in a few bus stop you reach the stop called Istituto geografico Militare, just cross the road and few steps onward that's the house!
