Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing experience my mother, nephew, and I had. Elisabetta is an absolute gem of a human being. Probably the highlight of our entire trip to Italy was learning to cook traditional dishes and enjoy them with Elisabetta and her lovely boyfriend in their beautiful home. She treated us to a family recipe that involves no less than 5 hours in prep, which because of the time involved she only makes one to two times a year. We were truly honored. I really enjoyed my Italian cooking lesson with Elisa. We cooked a traditional Italian meal at her home. Elisa shared cooking secrets that you would never get from a recipe. The result was a fabulous meal of homemade pasta and tiramusu. The best part is that I was able to make both again when I got home from Italy. My family was very impressed. We had a wonderful evening with Elisabetta, her husband Ref, and their houseguest!! Elizabetta is a fabulous host and cooked us a delicious homemade Roman feast with the freshest ingredients. It was one of the beat meals we had in Italy and a highlight of our trip! Elisabetta and her husband made is feel so welcome in their home and even took us for a walk up to Piazza Michelangelo and pointed out art and sights along the way. Upon arriving, we were treated to a variety of specialties and got to poke around her kitchen which was actually really interesting, you can tell this is someone who really enjoys to cook and sharing her food with company.
