Sit at a table in the oldest floating club in Italy and realise just how sweet life can be.
In the heart of the ancient city there is a unique location since 1889, it‘s the oldest club in Italy, the Roman Swimming Club.
Here, time stands still: Rome is living through the reflections of white marble, the blue flowing water, the green leaves dancing in the wind....
The members of the club and the people who come to the club are all good friends! They love to relax in a sunny day of Rome and in front the waves of the Tiber while they are socialising.
These are the Romans! Artists, galleryowners, grandparents, greengrocers, entrepreneurs, engineers, entertainers, but when they are here, they are all ‘fiumaroli’.
Because Rome was born at the river.
At 13:30 everyone sit at the table to eat. The chef offers a daily menu for everyone.
If you have any food allergies, please let us know, we will talk with the chef.
We recommend you to come even to relax after a visit at the Vatican Museums that are close by (a 30 minute walk).
Time: 1.30 pm
Meeting point: Ara Pacis
Price includes: Full Menu (1st and 2nd course, water, wine, coffee)
Cant wait to have you on board!

Many thank you to Susanna and the club for setting this up for us. The lunch that we had was delightful. The food was fantastic and had the charms of homemade cuisine which was a welcome during our travels. The setting on the club boat was very nice and pleasant. We had the opportunity to mingle with the locals who came in the ship to have lunch and socialize during the day. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Roma and will do this again! The whole idea is, that you meet up with locals, cook together and get know locals. Great concept ! That was not what happened. I wrote with Susanna believing that we were going to cook together. Very late in the conversation it became apparant, that somebody else would do the cooking. On the day it became obvious, that it was in a third - unknown - persons home the cooking would take place. So Susanna "outsourced" the cooking ! That is not true to the concept, but if it was communicated in the beginning it could maybe have been OK. The feel was "business". Zero stars for that part of the experience. When that is said, we had a very nice time cooking with Maria and an older woman in her very nice appartment. The two women met for the first time that evening ! All in all a mixed experience. (view full page)

We were in a group of 5 people- I live in Rome and had 4 visitors and thought that this would be a fun experience for my friends to get to meet other locals and practice their Italian. Susanna organized a big picnic in a beautiful park with loads of friends from both Rome and abroad. There was good conversation, plenty of wine and food- an overall really fun evening. We had the most wonderful night at Susanna's learning to cook tagliatelle, ragu, meatballs and millefoile. We chatted, listened to Italian music, drank chianti and met some of Susanna's friends. Lovely food, lovely conversation and I can't wait to make delicious Italian food at home. You will not regret a night at Susanna's! Grazie mille, Susanna! (view full page)

Many thanks to Susanna and Roberta Calì for an amazing evening! Cooking with you was so much fun and the moon-and-candle lit homemade meal on your roof with a view of the city was the perfect end to our honeymoon! (Though I wish we met you sooner on the trip!) Thanks to your great cooking class, I have made homemade gnocchi 2x since I've been home and am inspired to cook with amore. If anyone is thinking of cooking with Susanna and Roberta DO IT! You will be so so happy that you did! (view full page)
